My Influences

I've been influenced by music, cinema, painting, animation and many more. I grew up on Disney, DreamWorks and Pixar movies noticing the intricate details in the illustrations, falling in love with the idea of working on a project that will stand the test of time. I’ve grown up in a creative family and was encouraged to enjoy and create through music, literature and visual art. My enjoyment of these things have shaped me into an illustrator full of appreciation for the creative process. Playing guitar and illustrating are similar to me and come hand in hand when I'm creating. People who I surround myself with have made a great impact on my career as an illustrator and have encouraged me to keep pushing forward and raising the bar.

Finding Inspiration

In December of 2012 I was diagnosed with epilepsy and it has impacted my life in many ways. I found that expressing my emotions visually often was more impactful that verbally. Through this experience I knew that I wanted to make an impact on those around me through the use of illustration. My goal is to create illustrations that are relatable and thought provoking. I often elude to loneliness and hardships of experiencing an invisible disability. I hope to be a voice for the voiceless. I have a passion to better the world through visual expression and encourage those I meet to do the same. Anyone can express themselves artistically, it’s daunting and intimidating but with practice and determination, anyone can be an artist.
